Basics
The project involves watershed planning, stakeholder outreach and implementation of innovative stormwater technologies that reduce TMDL pollutants in the Tahoe Keys community of South Lake Tahoe, California. By using a regional stormwater treatment approach with public/private partnerships, and by installing LID stormwater treatment and modular floating treatment wetlands, the project will improve water quality, while enhancing wildlife habitat, increasing climate change resiliency, reducing wildfire threat, improving bicycle and pedestrian connectivity, and helping to protect the existing investment in Aquatic Invasive Species control in the Tahoe Keys.
