The project involves watershed planning, stakeholder outreach and implementation of innovative stormwater technologies that reduce TMDL pollutants in the Tahoe Keys community of South Lake Tahoe, California. Project planning uses a regional stormwater treatment approach to identify opportunities for public/private partnerships and installation of innovative LID stormwater treatment. Implementation of the multi-benefit project will improve water quality, enhance wildlife habitat, increase climate change resiliency, reduce wildfire threat, improve bicycle and pedestrian connectivity, and help protect investments in Tahoe Keys aquatic invasive species control.
