01/28/2025 3:04 PM | Beth Vollmer | During the 2024 construction season the contractor completed the installation of a new waterline main on Apache Avenue from East San Bernardino to US 50, including new fire hydrants. The contractor also completed the underground installation of the storm drain mainline on Apache Ave from the drainage between Sioux Street and East San Bernardino to Arrowhead Avenue. The surface connections to the storm drain, along with the sidewalk, bike path, curb & gutter, and repaving of Apache Avenue will be completed during the 2025 construction season. | ||
01/27/2023 4:54 PM | Dan Kikkert | Key Points: - The project will help support the Walk to School Day, Bike to School Day, and other activities in cooperation with the school district and the Meyers community. - Apache Avenue is a major collector and provides challenges faced by the community walking and bicycling to the school and the nearby Tahoe Paradise Park. - The project is within one of the high priority watersheds for pollutant load delivery to Lake Tahoe with planned improvements reducing fine sediment from stormwater runoff. |
