Program Vertical Extinction Coefficient (VEC) Monitoring
Approach
VEC is measured at the Lake Tahoe Index Station at least 24 times annually and at least 12 times annually at the mid-lake station. VEC is measured by lowering a submersible photometer down through the water column.
