Approximately 56,000 people are estimated to reside year-round in the Lake Tahoe Region. This figure illustrates the population estimates as tabulated by the U.S. Census Bureau, and the historical population estimates dating back to 1980. In interim years when Decennial Census Information is not available, TRPA uses the American Community Survey 5-year average data.
All figures are for the combined census tracts for the Lake Tahoe Region, as reported by the United States Census Bureau.
