AQ13: Reduce the transport of nitrates into the Basin and reduce oxides of nitrogen (NOx) produced in the Basin consistent with the water quality thresholds.
Attainment of the management standards was evaluated using the following two criteria:
• Has TRPA (or other agencies) adopted sufficient policies, ordinances, and programs in support of the management standards?
• Is there empirical evidence that demonstrates a reduction in nitrogen deposition into Lake Tahoe?
