Basics
The objective of the overall project is to complete design and implementation of water quality protection BMPs and upgrades to meet recreational use standards at the Tallac Historic Site, Valhalla and Visitors Center. Upgrades can include building rehabilitation, water/sewer improvements and building replacement. Transportation improvements include the creation of a loop road interconnecting various sites, multimodal connections, bike paths and signage.

01/08/2016 3:28 PM Genevieve Villemaire The project has been funded by four SNPLMA grants thusfar. The first two grants laid the planning groundwork for the BMPs designed under the third grant, including NEPA analysis, survey work and permitting. Implementation of the designed BMP retrofit is funded under a fourth and final SNPLMA grant and implementation began on the North side of Hwy 89 in 2015. South side improvement implementation will start during 2016.
05/21/2014 6:01 PM System Round 9 BLM SNPLMA Project # F131. Project follows Round 5 SNPLMA Project - Camp Rich Vision Plan and Campgrounds BMP Retrofit. This project is first of three phases needed to complete the final planning and design for rehabilitation of the three campgrounds to current environmental protection standards.
