01/11/2024 4:18 PM Theresa Cody Delays occurred related to RIFS completion because of the addition of PFAS monitoring per EPA guidance. RIFS completion is now expected in 2024, and remedial action implementation is likely to start in 2025.
12/22/2022 8:29 AM Theresa Cody Site maintenance and ongoing groundwater and gas monitoring continued in 2022. The RIFS contract will conclude in 2023, with a remedial action recommendation for treating the contaminated groundwater plume. Remedial actions are expected to begin in 2024.
03/01/2019 2:07 PM Theresa Cody Wood chips were spread over the entire landfill cap area in 2017 and 2018. An contract was awarded in 2018 for the Remedial Investigation and Feasibility Study for the contaminated groundwater.
12/21/2017 9:16 AM Stephanie Coppeto 12/21/2017: Drainage infrastructure improvements were made and erosion repairs from winter 2016-2017 damage were implemented.
01/26/2016 11:25 AM Genevieve Villemaire The groundwater investigation for the Meyers Landfill is still ongoing. Data does not yet confirm a trend in the status of the VOC plume as a result of placing the cap. A groundwater remedial action recommendation remains at least 1 year out (2017).
