Implementation of stream channel floodplain restoration project in Upper Truckee River, Reach 5. NEPA/CEQA planning with this funding also included Upper Truckee Reach 6, located on California Tahoe Conservancy land. This project included improving aquatic habitat, increasing channel/floodplain connectivity, increasing meadow wetness and reducing bank erosion. The project involved new channel construction and re-activation of the floodplain on both Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit and California Tahoe Conservancy lands within the 120-acre project area meadow, restoring form and function to 7,340 ft of river channel
