Overview

Basics

Basics
In 2010 and 2011, the LTBMU conducted an aquatic organism barrier assessment around the entire Lake Tahoe basin. This effort identified all existing crossings that impeded movement of various fish species at various life stages. Through this effort, specific crossing could be identified for future restoration. The goal was to identify priority road crossings of stream corridors to remove barriers to aquatic organism passage. Future recovery action of known barriers can utilize these reports.
