This project is implementing a phase of meadow/riparian area restoration work identified within and around the 185-acre High Meadows Complex and thinning of the forest surrounding the meadow. This project would implement restoration actions to enhance 120 acres of meadow/riparian habitat through removal of lodgepole pine encroachment in and around the meadow, and an additional 1.5 miles of stream/floodplain restoration. Stream restoration would include replacing stream flow into constructed and historic channels where they are currently flowing in ditches, filling of existing ditches, placing large wood in the channel, and constructing smaller in-channel structures.
