The Tahoe Rim Trail Association is a volunteer, non-profit 501(C)(3) organization established in 1981 to plan, construct, and maintain the Tahoe Rim Trail. Our mission is to maintain and enhance the Tahoe Rim Trail system, practice and inspire stewardship and preserve access to the natural beauty of the Lake Tahoe region.

07/09/2018 11:38 AM Kimberly Chevallier TRTA agreed to deactivate this project because it kept interfering/double counting USFS reporting.
11/07/2017 2:12 PM Morgan Fessler In 2017 the TRTA built 1.4 miles of new trail, maintained 167.9 miles of existing trail, and removed 647 blowdowns. Major projects included a reroute near Martis Peak and completing a reroute at Mott Canyon.
12/08/2016 2:27 PM System In 2016 the TRTA built 0.86 miles of new trail, maintained 25.2 miles of existing trail, removed 145 blowdowns, and assessed 68.9 miles of trail in 2016, including a reroute at Chickadee Ridge, installing a new bridge in Van Sickle Bi-State Park, and beginning construction of a major reroute at Mott Canyon.
