Overview

Basics

Basics
The Diamond Peak Lodge Fuels Reduction Project reduces hazardous wildland fuels on 63 acres of local government owner land in the wildland-urban interface of Incline Village, NV to mitigate wildfire risk to the community and improve forest health. There are 500 condominium units near-by. The project removed ladder fuels, reduced dead and downed debris, increased crown to base height, reduced brush height and continuity and thinning trees from below to reduce potential fire intensity and protect nearby resources from catastrophic wildfire.
