Pavement rehabilitation and new asphalt concrete overlay of Elks Club Drive from Boca Raton to Pioneer Trail were installed with this project. Included the construction of rolled curb and gutter from Pioneer Trail to Skyline drive which provides roadway widths for vehicles and bicycles, while eliminating sharp drop-offs at existing edge of road AC swales. The project established Elks Club Drive as a Class III bike route and allowed for a connection from the future Greenway Bike Trail Project. The Greenway is currently planned to cross Elks Club Drive near Boca Raton.

After roadway improvements are complete, striping of the roadway will allow for safer transit of bicycles from Highway 50 to Pioneer Trial on Elks Club Drive. May lead to increased use of bicycles through this area.

Once completed the work will establishing Elks Club Drive as a Class III bike route and allow for a connection from the future Greenway Bike Trail Project. The Greenway is currently planned to cross Elks Club Drive near Boca Raton.

Improvements to the existing roadway, including construction of rolled curb and gutter. These improvements will help with the quality of stormwater runoff from travelway surfaces by enabling the maintenance department to sweep/vacuum roadside conveyance systems.
