Basics
The Tahoe Area Mountain Bike Association (TAMBA) and the U.S. Forest Service Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit have partnered to improve the Stanford Rock Trail. Part of the trail that was an eroded section of logging road the trail was converted to singletrack resulting in water quality and recreation benefits. New sections of trail were built to avert erosion and runoff that will reduce water quality impacts and overall coverage. The road has been replaced with a lower grade singletrack trail to enhance user experience and meet current standards.
