Overview

Basics

Basics
This project expanded on the first UV Light pilot project by utilizing lessons learned and increasing the size of the treatment areas. The initial pilot showed promising results in that most treated plants exhibited signs of deterioration 7-10 days following treatment. This second pilot expanded treatment areas within the marina and off-shore locations at 1 acre each. This pilot is now complete, and new projects for Lakeside Beach and Lakeside Marina have begun as separate projects, tackling the entire infestation at both locations, using UV and bottom barriers.

Notes

Notes
02/02/2022 10:11 PM Dennis Zabaglo Treatments were expected to be completed in 2021, however variables outside of implementer control such as low water and wildfire evacuations hampered effectiveness of treatments in the 2021 season. Additional treatments are being planned for 2022. Monitoring is demonstrating the clurlyleaf pondweed is no longer detected in the beach portion of the treatment area.
