Overview

Basics

Basics
The recently completed Airport East project was a 37-acre hazardous fuels reduction project located within the Wildland Urban Interface (WUI) of South Lake Tahoe, on lands owned by the City of South Lake Tahoe. Originally a 52-acre fuels reduction project, costs increases resulted in reduced treatment area. There therefore remains need to secure future funding to complete work on the remaining 15-acres of untreated land.
