01/03/2023 11:48 AM Thomas Boos The 2022 visitation at the Meyers Inspection Station was slower than 2021. However, similar to 2021, approximately 2 of 5 visitors utilize the educational center. It is estimated that 900 people were served by the educational center.
01/04/2022 9:11 AM Thomas Boos The Gazebo was installed for the 2021 boating season and was hugely successful. There are extra funds for further improvements for the 2022 season.
There were 2600 inspections done at the Meyers Watercraft Inspection Station, which means at least 2600 people were at the site, but more likely 3500 as many boats arrive with multiple people in the vehicle. These are the folks that generally visit the gazebo. Staff indicated approximately 2 of 5 boaters visited the gazebo (40%). The estimate of 1040 people served reflects this.
