07/13/2020 11:42 AM | Stan Hill | The City acquired a Class 1 bike trail easement from McDonald's Corporation back at the time the original restaurant was constructed in 1982. The easement agreement requires the City to maintain and reconstruct the bike trail following the original construction with the 1982 McDonald's restaurant construction. The easement agreement also states the bike trail easement may have a quitclaim action to remove the bike trail easement from the property title if the City abandons the bike trail. In the interest of sustaining the bike trail easement, the City desires to reconstruct the decomposed pavement section along the frontage of the Emerald Bay Road McDonald's restaurant. The remaining bike trail along the northerly and easterly side of the restaurant will reconstructed as a part of the Tahoe Valley Stormwater and Greenbelt Project that is currently in the design process. |
