Project proposes to modify the existing Johnson Boulevard travel way from the southern limits of Al Tahoe Boulevard to the northern limits of Fairway Avenue per preliminary concept design contained within the LTUSD Safe Routes to School Master Plan by reducing roadway width, construction of a Class 1 bicycle trail, construction of sidewalk and ADA improvements, construction of minor drainage improvements as required for project, installation of pedestrian safety lighting, and pave and stripe roadway for Class II bicycle lane on west side. The total project length is estimated to be 4,900 linear feet (.92 miles).

11/08/2023 11:49 AM Stephen Anderjack A utility underground district was formed in 2022. Liberty Energy is responsible for preparing plans for underground and overhead utilities. (pending)
01/14/2022 8:23 AM Jim Marino The project is in pre-design phase. City is working with Liberty Utilities to establish an underground utility district for undergrounding all overhead electric and communications as part of a Rule 20 Utility project prior to the construction of streetscape improvements. City expects to approve an underground district in spring of 2022.

City will attempt to secure funds for planning & design in 2022.
