Overview

Basics

Basics
The County Service Area (CSA) # 5 Erosion Control Project includes the developed portions of the northwest corner of the Tahoe Cedars subdivision southwest of Highway 89 between the El Dorado County line and Poplar Street. The Project implemented improvements to reduce the concentration of fine sediment in the storm water which exits the Project area before reaching Lake Tahoe. The Project was split into multiple phases. The final phase (Phase 3) project area is roughly bounded by Placer Street to the east, McKinney Street to the west, and the Placer/El Dorado County line to the north and west.

Threshold Categories

  • The overall goal of this Project is to improve the water quality of runoff to Lake Tahoe and its tributaries by reducing erosion and sediment transport originating from the CSA 5 Project Area due to prior development of the area. The overall CSA 5 project was initiated based on results from El Dorado County's Pollutant Load Modelling efforts in the Basin.

Notes
01/27/2022 12:26 PM Dan Kikkert This is an attempt to split out the Phase 3 work from the existing CSA #5 project identified in the CIP as 01.01.01.0074. With Phase 1and 2 complete, it became difficult to update a project with completed phases.
