Overview

Basics

Basics
The Complete Streets project would improve the segment of Park Avenue from Hwy 50 to Lakeshore Blvd to reduce flooding, address sediment from unsecured road shoulders, formalize parking, and improve accessibility and safety for pedestrians. The area has been identified as having drainage problems and lacking adequate pedestrian sidewalks, parking or streetscape elements. The project will seek to resolve flooding and water quality issues with new underground drainage infrastructure and provide enhanced public access to Lake Tahoe in accordance with the Tourist Core Area Plan. The rehabilitation of the roadways would include the construction of bike lanes, sidewalks, or shared use paths.
