The Black Bart Project installed 7,700 linear feet of new 6-inch water main to replace the existing 1- and 2-inch diameter steel water main that serves the properties. Nine new fire hydrants would be installed that would be accessible from the public right of way. The project improves water supply enhancing fire protection capabilities on private, local, state, and federal lands by increasing fire flow volumes and coverage area.

01/09/2023 5:41 PM Yesenia Pacheco The project was advertised on July 28, 2022, and four bids were received on September 20, 2022.  The contract was awarded to Vinciguerra Construction of Jackson, CA.  The contractor is currently working on materials and is anticipated to commence construction at the start of the Tahoe grading season in May 2023. procure materials and is anticipated to commence construction at the beginning of the Tahoe grading season in May 2023.
