01/11/2024 2:37 PM | Jennifer Marshall | 2023 Update: STPUD installed a total of 40 fire hydrants on existing domestic drinking water main pipelines. These hydrants were in various residential or rural areas within the City of South Lake Tahoe. The locations filled in areas where the existing hydrants were spaced too far apart to meet the standard 500-foot spacing in urban areas (within 250 feet of each parcel) and 1000-foot spacing in rural areas (such as along Pioneer Trail). The newly installed hydrants will provide firefighters with quick access to water throughout the City. |
