The project team filled key knowledge gaps by (1) quantifying the horizontal and vertical distribution of zooplankton across the spatial extent of Lake Tahoe, (2) determining the composition and amount of microzooplankton, and (3) quantifying the role of nearshore and offshore zooplankton communities on particle size distribution in their respective habitats. The data generated from this project is available to public, management, and scientific communities for evaluation so others can use the data and contribute to our understanding on how to better conserve Lake Tahoe.
