Overview

Basics

Basics
Tahoe RCD has funding to build forestry services capacity by hiring a full-time Forestry Program Specialist and a seasonal Forestry Technician. All work will be done as Registered Professional Forester Designees, working under a Registered Professional Forester. The Tahoe RCD Forestry Program will also utilize 2 interns per year from the Lake Tahoe Community College Forestry Program to help build capacity for future professional foresters. Forestry services would include but not be limited to project planning, project permitting, project implementation and oversight of forestry operations/Licensed Timber Operators, timber harvest unit design, layout and tree marking.
