Basics
The current Sand Harbor layout was designed in 1970 and improperly designed for the current visitation. This project will update the 1990 master plan for the park and create a sustainable vision for the future of Sand Harbor. The master plan will then be implemented in a series of EIP projects to improve traffic flow, recreation experience, and sustainability of the site.

12/26/2024 3:48 PM Cassandra Hughes Project kickoff commenced February 2024. Design Workshop completed both online and in-person intercept public surveys July to September 2024. Conceptual designs are currently being developed for internal review.
01/09/2024 9:02 AM Kevin Fromherz RFP was completed during the summer of 2023 and awarded to Design Workshop. The project will kickoff in February 2024.
