Overview

Basics

Basics
The South Lake Chipping Program unites residents in a collaborative effort to mitigate wildfire risks and enhance the safety of our community. By participating in the program, individuals have the opportunity to proactively clear vegetation around their properties, creating defensible spaces that protect homes and neighborhoods from the threat of wildfires. With a focus on sustainability and community engagement, the chipped materials are repurposed for landscaping projects, promoting environmental stewardship and minimizing waste. Through the Chipping Program, residents not only contribute to a safer and more resilient community but also foster a sense of unity and shared responsibility.
