Overview

Basics

Basics
NCSD is seeking to increase the scope and scale of its fuels management and defensible space programs through the development of a Wood Energy Facility project that will both reduce environmental impacts and minimize operating costs by creating a local use for otherwise non-merchantable biomass material. The project aims to serve as a valuable demonstration project for the greater Tahoe-Truckee region, acting as a catalyst for similar projects that could be replicated within the Tahoe-Truckee region as well as in other rural mountain and ski resort communities.
