| 01/16/2026 9:58 AM | Emily Justice | In 2025, interim treatment efforts were conducted following the completion of the three-year Control Methods Test (2022-2024) and while development and scoping is underway for a full Tahoe Keys treatment in the coming years. TRPA coordinated UV treatment by Inventive Resources Inc. of 6.6 acres (treated three times) within the Tahoe Keys Lagoons in an area known to have prolific curlyleaf pondweed beds producing high numbers of turions. TKPOA coordinated Diver Assisted Suction Harvesting (DASH) by Hiuga Dive Co. in 3.3 acres (treated twice) in nearshore areas better accessed by divers. TRPA also coordinated monitoring of these treatments through macrophyte and nutrient monitoring conducted by Environmental Science Associates. TKPOA conducted regular monitoring as well including full lagoon and Tahoe Keys Offshore hydroacoustic scanning and water quality monitoring. |
