02/02/2022 9:47 PM | Dennis Zabaglo | Original project description: The Tahoe Keys Property Owners Association (TKPOA) is working collaboratively with lead agencies- TRPA and Lahontan to develop a test project using integrated methods to control aquatic weeds. The project includes a stakeholder committee that is making recommendations to the lead agencies for consideration on project development. The committee includes TKPAO, TRPA, Lahontan, Tahoe Water Suppliers, the League and Tahoe RCD. Multiple methods of control are being proposed to be tested independently and in combination, that include UV light, aquatic herbicides and laminar flow aeration, followed by bottom barriers and diver assisted suction and hand pulling. Environmental analysis is under way. | ||
