Notes

Notes
01/05/2024 12:11 PM Stan Hill The Project did not receive any Cycle 6 RGP funding but the City will continue to seek grant funding for planning, permitting, engineering, and construction of the bike trail connector. Should CMAQ funding be available in the next RGP cycle, the City anticipates submittal of an application but doing so may depend on the priorities existing when the call for projects occurs.
01/06/2023 10:13 AM Stan Hill The Recreation JPA administrating Measure S and R funding allocated an additional $26,000 in 2022 for a total secured funding amount of $56,000. The Bicycle Advisory Committee is recommending the balance of Measure S funding allocated to the Al Tahoe Safety & Mobility Enhancement Project be transferred to the Sierra Blvd - Palmira to South Tahoe Bikeway Connector ($30,684).

The City submitted a Regional Grant Program application to acquire $1,250,000 for engineering design, right-of-way acquisition, and implementation of project improvements. The City is committed to providing at least the CMAQ required 11.47% local match in the sum of $161,977.

Survey topo was acquired in the fall of 2022. Boundary control data defining property lines indicates an approximate 20 feet wide area between the Scusa and Elements Health Club paved parking areas.
01/06/2023 10:03 AM Stan Hill The JPA overseeing distribution of Measure S & R recreational funding has applied $26,000 to fund the initiation of Project planning, permitting & design. The City anticipates retaining the services of a land surveying firm to acquire site property line and existing surface topography information in the spring of 2022.
