Basics
Restore natural hydrologic processes and functions in the marsh by constructing pilot channels and spreading flow over the marsh. Increase area of SEZ and associated habitat types. Reduce sediment sources and increase sediment deposition and filtering particularly in high flow events. Construct improvements to support and direct public access. Restore portion of the Tahoe Keys Marina by constructing a bulkhead and restoring wet meadow/ marsh.

01/16/2018 3:47 PM Stuart Roll The Conservancy has secured a total of $7,170,090 for the Upper Truckee Marsh Project, all of which is spent or authorized in the State Budget Act as of January 2018. The Conservancy expended approximately $2,457,000 prior to 2004 for early studies, feasibility analysis, and technical reports which furthered the Marsh project and the entire Upper Truckee River Watershed restoration effort. Between 2004 to 2007, $1,521,980 was expended on Marsh planning activities, and $1.891,110 was expended between 2007 and 2017 on Marsh planning and design activities. The California Legislature approved $1,300,000 for Marsh final design and permitting activities which will begin in 2018.
02/13/2017 5:28 PM Penny Stewart The Conservancy has secured a total of $5.918 million of funding for the Upper Truckee Marsh Project, all of which is spent or encumbered in contracts as of January 2017. The Conservancy expended approximately $2.457 million prior to 2004 for early studies, feasibility analysis, and technical reports which furthered the Marsh project and the entire Upper Truckee River Watershed restoration effort. The remaining $3.461 million supports planning and design activities for the Marsh-specific project which began in 2004 and are currently on-going.
